Join me on Saturday November 2nd at 10am AEST in this small group LIVE Zoom class and decorate along with me! You will be able to share your video stream as well, so I can give tailored guidance along the way. In this class, you will learn:

  1. How to level, tort, fill, stack and crumb-coat your cakes
  2. how to create a smooth and sharp buttercream finish on your cakes
  3. how to apply a fun edible gold splatter effect on your cakes
  4. how to pipe gorgeous shell and spiral borders using the #32 piping tip and simple lined scallops using the #4 round piping tip

This class is tailored to beginner and intermediate level cake decorators. To make sure everyone has a chance to ask questions and receive guidance and the right attention, the class will be capped at 12 students max. 

What to bring along:

  1. two 6 inch round pound or mud cakes (see this recommended recipe: https://youtu.be/TqOrjPQwA-k)
  2. a batch of Vanilla buttercream (see this recommended recipe: https://youtu.be/uHyO2ctjaBI)
  3. edible gold dust
  4. rosewater spirit OR Vodka (or lemon juice if you cannot use alcohol)
  5. cake turntable
  6. serrated cake knife
  7. offset spatula (8 inches preferred, but any will do the job)
  8. frosting scraper
  9. 10 inch cake board
  10. piping tip coupler (if you can't find one, then you can simply have each piping tip in their own dedicated piping bag)
  11. piping tips: #31 and #4
  12. two piping bags
  13. scissors
  14. toothpicks
  15. black ribbon (1cm thick will work nicely, or thinner than 1cm)

A link will be e-mailed to you to access to Zoom class 30 minutes before the class begins. Please be sure to leave your correct e-mail in the order form.

If you can also prepare either a tripod, or a couple of stacked books where you can rest your phone or tablet against so I can clearly see your cake, that would be ideal. I will be checking in to see how each of you are going and provide feedback along the way! HOWEVER, if you prefer to join in without sharing your video, this is OK too. I have had students in the past who join simply to observe and not participate. 

PLEASE NOTE: The Zoom class will be recorded and available only to those who have booked in the class. If you miss the class, you will still have access to the recording so you can follow along at your own pace.
